European digital innovation hub of Montenegro

MontEDIH represents the first and only European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in Montenegro, founded with the mission to provide comprehensive support to the digital and green transformation of the Montenegrin economy and public sector. As part of a broad European network of Digital Innovation Hubs, we provide organizations with access to advanced technologies, knowledge and infrastructure necessary for successful digital transformation.

MontEDIH projekt finansiran kroz kombinaciju evropskih i nacionalnih sredstava:

50% grants were provided by the European Commission within the program Digital Europe 2021–2027

45% grants were provided by the Ministry of Public Administration and the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation of Montenegro

5% funds were co-financed by the project consortium

The project officially began on January 1, 2025 and will last 48 months, until the end of 2028.

Digital EUprogram (DEP)

Program Digital Europe 2021-2027 (DEP) is a key initiative of the European Union focused on building digital capacity and facilitating the widespread use of digital technologies in the European economy and society. With a total budget of €7.5 billion, this programme aims to strengthen Europe's competitiveness and its digital sovereignty through support in five key areas:

High-Performance Computing - improving computing capacity and availability of advanced computing infrastructure

Artificial Intelligence (AI) - developing and strengthening the use of AI technology across the economy and society

Cyber security - increasing the security of the digital economy, society and democracy

Advanced digital skills - supporting the development of digital talents and bridging the digital divide

Introduction and best use of digital capacity - support for the digitalization of the public and private sectors

MontEDIH directly contributes to the goals of DEP by providing specialized support in the areas of artificial intelligence, supercomputing, advanced digital skills and digital technologies. Our services help SMEs and the public sector in testing, adopting and implementing the latest digital solutions.

What is EDIH?

The European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) are a network of specialized centers to support digital transformation, established across the European Union and associated countries. These hubs have the role of:

Central support points that help companies and public sector organizations become more competitive through the application of digital technologies

Regional centers of excellence that provide access to the latest technologies, knowledge and infrastructure

A link between users and technology solution providers, facilitating collaboration and joint initiatives

Platform for the exchange of best practices and experiences at the European level

The EDIH network enables organizations to take advantage of digital transformation through four key service categories:

Testing before investing - the possibility of testing digital technologies before significant investments

Skills development and training - training and coaching to improve digital competencies

Support for access to financial resources - support in finding sources of financing for digital transformation

Networking and strengthening of the innovation ecosystem – connecting with potential partners and supporting cooperation between different stakeholders
